This guided excursion along the popular Kuilau Ridge Trail takes you on a journey through vibrant rainforests, stunning mountain vistas, and enchanting bird songs. With an elevation change of 900 feet, this scenic hike offers breathtaking views and an immersive connection to nature.
As we navigate uneven, muddy terrain, you’ll discover the fascinating flora and fauna of the Wailua rainforest. Along the way, I’ll share tales of Kauai’s ali’i (nobility), the Chiefs who once called this “Playground of the Royalty” their home, and the stories of the menehune and the Hawaiian Bigfoot.
Highlights include the striking Rainbow Eucalyptus trees and a guided exploration of the picturesque Keahua Arboretum. If stream conditions allow, we’ll cool off in a wonderful swimming hole—perfect for a refreshing dip and unforgettable photos.
To add a touch of cinematic magic, you’ll stand in locations where scenes from Jurassic Park were filmed. And yes, we’ll even bring toy dinosaurs to make it extra fun!
